Brunch in Sarasota is a bit of an art form. The vibe is relaxed, the food is next-level, and the locals know exactly where to go. If you’re looking to skip the chains and head straight to the good stuff, here are some of my favorite Sarasota’s brunch spots, that offer more than just a decent eggs Benedict
1. Station 400
Downtown Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch
A local staple for a reason. The downtown location sits inside a restored railroad depot from the 1800s, which somehow makes the French toast taste even better. Their lemon ricotta pancakes are a favorite, and the mimosa flights keep things interesting. You’ll likely run into regulars who have been coming for years.
2. The Breakfast House
North of downtown on Fruitville
This one feels like a secret garden. Set inside a quaint old Florida home with colorful umbrellas and shady palms out front, the Breakfast House serves thoughtful, home-style brunch with Southern charm. Expect sweet potato pancakes, shrimp and grits, and one of the friendliest teams in town.
3. Shore
St. Armands Circle
Shore is what happens when style meets eggs. With rooftop dining, beachy-modern design, and a menu that reads like it belongs in a glossy magazine, Shore nails upscale brunch without being stuffy. Try the crab and avocado toast or the banana pancakes. Stay for the people-watching.
4. Toasted Mango Café
Downtown and Siesta Key
Bright, cheerful, and casual in the best way, Toasted Mango serves up classic breakfast and brunch with tropical flair. Mango butter, mango smoothies, mango French toast—you get the idea. They also pour a great cup of coffee and move fast, which makes them a hit with both locals and visitors.
5. MADE Restaurant
Downtown on Main Street
MADE (short for Modern American Delicious Eats) is the kind of place where brunch feels like a celebration. Their chicken and waffles are a crowd favorite, and their build-your-own Bloody Mary bar doesn’t disappoint. The portions are generous, the atmosphere is upbeat, and they know how to handle a crowd.
Sarasota knows how to brunch. Whether you’re looking for fresh-squeezed juice in a tucked-away café or bottomless mimosas with a rooftop view, you’ll find it here. Just be ready to wait for a table if you show up after 10 am, these spots are no secret.
